For National Tradesman Day  we visited Ashleigh Scotland in Prestwick.  Ashleigh Scotland is a Private Limited construction company based in South West and Central Scotland.  Ashleigh was established in 2001 and their principal business activity is construction. They are a Main Contractor covering a diverse range of sectors across various procurement routes. Ashleigh’s main offices are in Prestwick and Dumfries and their operations generally cover South West and Central Scotland. They deliver a range of new build and refurbishment projects, and are committed to their core values of Developing People, Delivering Communities and Constructing with Care.

We caught up with Business Coordinator Claire Hosie, who deals with the tender development and community engagement within the company. Claire has been in the role for over two years and enjoys being involved with the local community and encouraging young people into the industry. You can watch full interview with Claire below or by clicking here.

Ashleigh enjoys an enviable track record in recruitment and training through their established Employment and Apprenticeship programme. They are committed to the employment of trade and professional apprentices each year, re-employing the ‘hard to reach’,  tailor individual training programmes for their personnel and the promotion from within their organisation to cultivate organic growth.

We interviewed some of Ashleigh’s apprentices to hear about their journeys and to hear about the different experiences within their job roles.
